A New Pair of Legs for Tomas

T

Tomas

Medical

Nine-year-old Tomas lost both legs in a road accident last year. A custom prosthetic fitting and months of physiotherapy could have him walking — and back on the football pitch — within a year.

Your support funds the surgery, prosthetic limbs and the rehabilitation programme Tomas needs to regain his independence and rejoin his classmates at school.

How your donation helps

Funds are used for direct aid including medical care, school costs, emergency supplies and family support. We publish timeline updates so you can follow the impact of your generosity.

Timeline & updates

  1. First steps with support

With your help, Tomas took his first steps on his new prosthetic legs this week — grinning the whole way across the room. Rehabilitation continues, and he's already asking when he can kick a football again.

  2. Surgery successfully completed

Tomas came through his reconstructive surgery successfully and is now beginning physiotherapy with his new prosthetic legs. Doctors are confident he will be walking independently within a few months.
